Alicia combines some well known songs with her others which are just as good. A good listen in the morning to work
I love this!
I haven't had this album off since I bought it. I have been a fan of Alicia's music from the start and she keeps getting better and better. Loving 'Wait Til You See My Smile' and 'Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart'. If you're a fan you will love it!
It's Okay!
I listened to the samples of this album on Amazon before I purchased it so I sort of knew what I was getting. However I am not a great fan of Alicia Keys previous work, tending to quite like her commercial releases but not enough to go further.
When I listened to this album at home for the first time it sounded pretty reasonable then I listened to it in the car and it was not so good, each track seemed to be the same and Alicia started to sound like a second rate Beyonce. I brought this album mainly on the strength of the New York single, which is the last track on the album and in my opinion the strongest with many different hooks! Other than that I am not in a rush to play the CD again which says it all for me, still not a great fan!
My new favourite album
I only recently discovered Alicia Keys but I now absolutely love her. This album is excellent and I could listen to it over and over again!
Alicia Keys - The Element of Freedom.
This is the first album that I have bought from this artist and I bought it as I like the song with New York in the chorus. The whole album is much better than I thought. Very recommended.
