Sony NWZA816B 4GB video walkman MP3 Reviews
Serious rare pleasure, but....
...help! I don't know if it's me, but I can't put any videos on there.
Still, as a music player and photo album, it's easy, comfortable, with a sound quality you can shake a trunk, let alone a stick, at, and the colours not too garish, with tasteful blues, white, blacks and yellows. My own mother, even though she has lost her sight in her left eye, could manage this device. I even tolerate those dratted earphones. But the videos...
Oh well; really it's probably just me. I suspect that if you, a sensible one checking out different products that exist outside the Big Apple, decide to buy this player, I shall lay a bet that you still can in a few years time, and it's still working, while your friend has just bought his third iPod, for his previous ones have bust, or become unfashionable. This player, and I probably sound gushing, is ice cool/red hot, and shall glare on through Global Warming/Cooling
Excellent MP3 Palyer
I thought I had pretty much found the best MP3 player out there when I bought my Creative Zen Nano MP3 a couple of years ago, however it recently broke and I decided to replace it with the Sony NWZA816W.
This MP3 player is no better than my Creative player but it certainly equals it for sound quality, I didn't think it would be as good as it is.
Plus Sony don't skimp on the headphones either, the ones supplied give excellent sound quality.
The only downside for me, and it's only a slight downside, is that there is no mains charger, only a USB charger. Whilst it's not a great hindrance to charge the player using a USB cable, it's useless if I'm travelling away from home and the battery dies.
A mains charger can be bought for around £17 if you do need one, but other than that I can't fault this player.
Sony and Audible book files.
I have an a Sony A818 and am extremely pleased with it's performance. The earphones that come with it are very good and the sound quality is excellent. I am currently however looking to buy another MP3 player (iPod or Creative) as Sony does not support Audible book files. This is very frustrating as I'm very happy with the A818 but I'm also keen to subscribe and listen to Audible files. So be aware Sony does not look like it intends to support Audible files anytime soon, if this is important to you don't buy a Sony, get a Creative.
Nice!
Just bought the 8GB version from The Sony Centre and have been listening to it for a few hours. Dead simple to put songs on and the sound quality is cracking! Model is obsolete now, so grab one while you can!
WOW
BUY THE 8GB ONE !!!!
As like others i have bought this and thought, wish i got the 8G version.
The Sound - Amazing with Sennheiser in ear stereo headphones (better than the sony ones provided)
Extremely Loud, this mp3/mp4 player can go loud loud loud! assuming you have the decent headphones to listen to it at high volume.
at this price it really is a STEAL, my mates got an ipod nano, this blows it out the water and is smaller.
good configuration on EQ and settings
Plays video very well, and music even better.
Drag and drop so easy to upload/download and sync with other software.
Good battery life for a 35min charge
A+ Product
