TV doesn't get any better

The show's themes can be summed up this way:
Season 1: drug wars, corruption
Season 2: docklands, human traffic, politics
Season 3: drug wars, politics, corruption
Season 4: education system, drug wars, politics
Season 5: media, corruption, media corruption, drug wars, politics#

As you can see, throghout the seasons the show steadily expanded the subject matter it focuses on. However, the quality of the engrossing content never faded. Season 2 is also my favourite in terms of acting.

If you are reading this, chances are you have already seen Season 1. I am pleased to tell you that Season 2 is just as perfect. In this new season, the show's creator David Simon tackles an entirely new problem in Baltimore: crime, corruption and illegal cargo in the Baltimore as well as a broader backdrop of the declining industrial and marine prominence of Baltimore and with it, the fortunes of the city's many dock-workers and long-shoremen (known as 'stevedores'). The show will track McNulty and the team as they turn their attention to a new investigation.


Brilliant
This series is so, so good! I was worried that after really enjoying the first series that this wouldn't be as good but if anything it is better! I think that it is one of the best dramas that I have seen in a long time. It is really gritty without going over top and becoming unrealistic. Excellent.

True Perfection
Amazing - better than the 1st series. Gritty working life's struggling to make a dollar. A tragic story with complex characters that keeps you guessing. I never wanted it to end.

i come accross this series by chance and never looked back,brilliant story line, very entertaining, highly recomended

Can't get better
I loved the first series and the second kept me equally enthralled - I had to pace myself not to watch too many episodes in one go as you want to know what happens next.

You need to have watched series one first so coming to it new or mid-episde would be impossible - but I think it is the finest Police TV ever.
