I have now owned my bread maker for almost a year. I am a little lazy and have only used bread kits rather than starting from scratch. The breadmaker has worked well for white loafs and not bad for mixed grain, but the granary and brown or malted multi grain type loaves keep rising & collapsing and so come out really dense. I must do some recipes from scatch in order to give it a fair review. I am pleased with the way it works. easy to clean and very good non-scatch coating. It also is fairly quiet and looks good in the kitchen.

Twelve months review
Bought the 48268 after reviews telling of improved bread release fron the the tin. This did not prove to be the case with the paddle usually staying in the loaf and taking a piece of bread with it on removal. As time went on bread became more difficult, more tin abuse, more difficult, more tin abuse etc. Olive oil no help. Customer care hopeless "they all do that sir, if you want to buy another Morphy product maybe we can give you some discount" , Me " what about a replacement tin & paddle?" "No sir that will be full price". Spent the money on a new Kenwood. Suggest you do too- much better.

Not as expected.
I am very dissappointed in the Morphy Richards Bread Maker. The kneading blade hasn't ever folded down - hence big hole in bread and a struggle to get the blade out. As I am short - 5foot nothing - I find it difficult to read the window when the breadmaker is on my kitchen top. The quality of the actual bread has been fine though.

Good basic bread maker
Been using this for nearly 8 months now making at least two loaves a week. After 3 months the unit had to be replaced, which was done with no fuss and no cost, because the main wheel driving the mixer seemed to break. The replacement has been working well.

After tasting bread made from my daughters breadmaker i had to buy one. I have made a fruit cake as well as wholemeal bread and apricot loaf all of which have been so quick as easy to make and taste fantastic.
