Fell apart
I had this one a couple of years back, bought it to match the toaster (which is still going by the way!)I thought it would be an excellent kettle, I really like Tefal stuff, have got all sorts of their products from steamers to saucepans but the kettle was a disaster! the black plastic bit fell off when I put the lid on after filling it. Thank goodness it happened then and not after it boiled! Anyway took it back to where I bought it and even though it was under warranty they wouldn't take it back and told me to contact Tefal, they didn't help either. They said I must have pulled the lid off the wrong way and dislodged the whole top and their warranty only covered if it was faulty That's the last time I'll buy one of their kettles.

NICE KETTLE, SHAME ABOUT THE LID
I have one of these which is about 3 years old. It looks smart and boils quickly. That's the good news. The bad news is that for the last year or so the inside of the plastic lid has been slowly but surely disintegrating and dropping bits of plastic into the kettle. What little is left of the lid has the consistency of soft, crumbly shale. So far I have been unable to source a replacement lid - the rest of the kettle is fine. Would I buy another one? Probably not, even at Amazon's low price.
