Wonderful collector edition
Got this for my sister for Christmas and it was worth the money! She was overcome with emotion and actually shed a few tears.
This is the ultimate edition for anyone really hooked on the Potter books.
Shame Amazon ran out, but it is already available on Ebay for £65+.
It is almost priceless to my sister tho'.

Nice tales, shame about the quality of the item
I enjoyed the Tales, but my enjoyment was tainted by the fact that after page 40 I was subconsciously proofreading the book as I went along. Given how much this edition costs, I would expect it to be thoroughly proofread prior to publication.

The finishing of the book was also dreadful, with several pages stuck together with glue - I am unable to prise them apart without damaging the pages, so haven't quite finished reading yet!

I'm in the process of penning a complaint to Amazon, as this is clearly not an acceptable standard.

Am absolutely delighted with the presentation and content of this Collectors Edition of Tales of Beadle the Bard. As an avid collector of Potter memorabilia and books, this particular piece of Potter stands head and shoulders above others.

One of my best Xmas presents
After waiting for so long I have my book, and maybe I am a lucky person, because after reading some posts I was afrad to find out that the book was not what I expected, but it is just perfect. I am a book lover, reader and collector (and a Potter extreme-fan)of 27 years, so after looking at it, I am very pleased. Metal is perfectly placed, velvet bag with no marks on it, perfect state of the package, nothing damaged, etc. Maybe others have problems, but mine is just well. Just loved it as one of my Xmas presents (TKS mom), worth the spectation and every penny.....The outside book leather looks perfect and if you don't know, it passes as a real book (a big one), the real book smells like leather and looks as a real ancient book, the frames are cute (maybe JKR is not an awsome drawer but they are nice), the only issue I found after the 100 review, outside book smells a little like just taken out of the print and in one corner the simulated book pages are a little (2 milimeters) deformed, but nothing else (and believe me checked it veeeery carefully). If this is luck for having a good item, TKS to anyone up there for it! LOL

An absolute work of art. I feel honoured that I was one of the lucky ones to recieve one.
There has been so much effort put into the book.
The outer book is very secure and beautifully made. It actually looks like a book its self but its cradling the smaller book which is inside a lovely little back with jk rowlings signature stitched into it.
The smaller book is decorated as you can see in the pics and its done in a way that makes you think it could actually be THE orginal!
The print inside the book is very nice and theres a foreword written by jk rowling which is lovely and in her own writing.

all in all a fantastic buy. If more become available i would highly recommend them to all big harry potter fans. a great book collectable and also the tales themselves are brill. I will be telling them to my children one day =)
